On the road to Ano Syros and shortly after the rural village of Kyperoussa is the
cave of Ferekydis. To access the cave, take a small dirt road that begins to
descend slowly, leading hikers to a magnificent landscape between earth and
sky and with a view of the blue horizon.In this cave lived the theogonic poet
and philosopher Pherekydis during the cold winter months of the 6th century
BC.
