Hospital: Syros is the capital of the Cyclades and has a hospital that serves the needs of all the islands of the archipelago. Syros General Hospital “Vardakeio and Proio” is located in the city center of Ermoupoli. It has a capacity of 110 beds. The hospital covers almost all pathological and surgical specialties, and its laboratories are equipped with modern machines and scientific equipment that provide support to all departments.

Climate :

The climate of Syros is of the Mediterranean type, that is to say mild and rainy in winter, hot and dry in summer. Rainfall is rare from the beginning of June to the end of September. The Cyclades also benefit from relatively pleasant summers (for Greece) thanks to the famous “Meltemi”, a seasonal wind which during the summer season refreshes the atmosphere, but which sometimes gets carried away to the point of immobilizing boats in port for a few hours.
